The original zeta shocked the sail world and became the forerunner of the modern 5-batten wave sail. Fast forward 25 years of intensive R&D: a new Ezzy Zeta is born. The EZZY WAVE is our “desert island” sail – our choice for every kind of condition, from flat-water to double-mast high surf.
The EZZY WAVE is designed to be maneuverable enough to ride waves, powerful enough to sail in gusty conditions, and stable enough to have fun when the winds blow hard but the water is flat.
David Ezzy’s design goal with the legacy was to develop a pure and simple sail while at the same time retaining the performance and durability that he demands in a sail.
By removing some of the extra features present on our premier sails, the legacy is sure to fit anyone’s budget. The smaller Legacy’s are wave designs, while the larger sizes are freeride.
The Legacy tack fitting uses a removable D-ring, that can be replaced with our premier pulley. Optional mast pad, batten tensioner key and head extender can be purchased from our dealers or our web site.

THE ULTIMATE JUMP N’ RIDE SAIL BEING AN IDEAL MATCH WITH FREEWAVE AND SMALL FREERIDE BOARDS
The X-Over has a longer luff length compared to the Wave, for more performance and better leech control, particularly in side-on and onshore conditions. For better drive and a more locked-in feeling, the X-Over has a moderate draft profile, typical of a Power wave sail. 4 battens in 4.7 and smaller, 5 battens in 5.0 and up. Maximum wind range, stability, and responsiveness with fewer battens, and lighter weight, thanks to the 3Di Molded Construction.
A relatively compact outline, with a slightly reduced luff length, for low swing weight in maneuvers. The profile of the wave is slightly forward-oriented, subtle enough for the sail to power up easily, but remains active, agile, and playful. 3 battens in 4.7 and smaller, 4 battens in 5.3 to 5.8, for a super smooth and lightning-quick transition between power-on and power-off. Maximum wind range, stability, and responsiveness with fewer battens, and lighter weight, thanks to the 3Di Molded Construction.
